June 23, 2015 at the territory of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism (GTSOLIFK) took place an opening ceremony of the unique art work - bust of the first ever Russian Olympic champion - Nikolai Alexandrovich Panin-Kolomenkin (1872-1958).
The action is timed to the Day of Memory and Grief - June 22, as N.A. Panin-Kolomenkin was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War.
The sculptural portrait was presented to the University by the All-Russian project "Alley of Russian Glory".
The event was attended by rector of SCOLIPE Alexander Nikolaaevich Bleer, head of the All-Russian project "Alley of Russian Glory" Mikhail Leonidovich Serdyukov, project author Vladimir Dmitrievich Koshlakov, Soviet speed skater, three-time world champion Valentina Sergeevna Stenina, faculty, staff and students of SCOLIPE.
