In Ramenskoye, Moscow Region, came to the end the Cup of Russia in synchronized swimming. 15 students and graduates of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism became winners and prize-winners of the competitions. Three medals were earned by synchronettes in team performances and two ones - in the individual competition.
In the technical solo program won Diana Ali – RSUPESY&T graduate, the second place was occupied by the first-year student of the Department of theory and methods of sports and synchronized swimming, aqua aerobics, diving and water polo RSUPESY&T - Olga Proskurnina.
- This victory was very unexpected for me! This is my first experience as a soloist. All my life I performed in bands and in a duet, but my partner, with whom I performed for more than seven years, completed her sports career. Then me and the coach Elena Yurievna Azarova decided to prepare a solo program, - Diana Ali says. - The rivals were strong and experienced in this kind of program, but due to the pure performance of the technical elements, I won these competitions!
In the technical program athletes of the leading sports university took gold and silver. The winners were students and graduates of the RSUPESY&T: Maria Salmina, Polina Galikeeva, Anna Trubinova, Olesya Chicherina, Anisia Neborako, Daria Shishkina, Polina Polyanskaya, Anastasia Yushchenko, and Maria Andreeva, Victoria Bushueva, Anastasia Trubinova and Daria Islamova. The second were the students of the RSUPESY&T: Julia Budanova, Maria Yendaltseva, Anna Larkina, Alfiya Nigmatulina, Olga Proskurnina, as well as Maya Gurbanberdieva, Alisa Mochalova, Milena Mochalova, Zhanna Borovskaya, Yulia Sviridenko, Maria Smirnova and Sofya Sharapova. Alena Matvienko also won the first place in the duet in a technical free program.
In total about 150 sportswomen from different regions of Russia participated in the competitions.
