In Alushta the Russian championship in archery has come to the end. Over 300 strongest archers from 11 regions met in the Crimea.
In the category "classic bow" in the final met the current champion of Russia, a fourth-year student of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Department of Theory and Methods of Applied Sports and Extreme Activities Artem Makhnenko and representative of the Sverdlovsk Region Vitaly Popov. In the fight Artem lost his title with a final score of 6:0. The third place was taken by archer from Buryatia Balzhinima Tsirempilov.
The Russian Championship was the starting point from which the new Olympic cycle began. The final of the competitive race will be a quota for participation in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, in 2020.
