RSUPESY&T graduate  Ekaterina Bukina won "bronze" at Olympic Games 2016

August 18, 2016 at Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro graduate of the RSUPESY&T Department of culturology, socio-cultural anthropology and social communications Ekaterina Bukina won the bronze medal in a women's wrestling competitions in the weight category up to 75 kg. In the fight for the bronze medal she beat Annabel Laure Ali, Cameroon (5:3).

"Bronze" was also won by China's Zhang Fengliu. In the final Canadian Erica Wiebe won, leaving no chance to Kazakhstan's athlete Guzel Manyurova - 6:0.

 

In the semifinal I made a mistake, one mistake is worth a gold medal. Relaxed when was in the lead." - said Ekaterina Bukina to TASS.

"I'm happy that I have a medal and I'm standing on the podium. Maybe helped to Russia in these difficult times. But athlete is selfish, so  I saw myself at another step." – Ekaterina said.
