Grand opening of All-Russian wrestling competition among students

May 13, 2016 in USZK RSUPESY&T held the grand opening of the All-Russian competition among students in wrestling. This year representatives of 101 Russian universities will take part in freestyle, Greco-Roman, women's wrestling and pankration fights.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by: RSUPESY&T rector , vice-president of the Russian Wrestling Federation,  person responsible for the student sport, doctor of Pedagogics, Honored coach of Russia Alexander Nikolaevich Bleer; head of T&M martial arts department RSUPESY&T, first vice-president of the Russian Wrestling Federation, person responsible for the Greco-Roman fight, doctor of Pedagogics, professor Victor Mikhailovich Igumenov; president of the innovation and modernization in medicine and sport  fund "Heraklion" Sergey Aleksandrovich Eremin; president of the Moscow wrestling Federation, International Master of sports of the USSR, Honored coach of Russia, PhD Viktor Gerazievich Mamiashvili; first vice-president of the Moscow wrestling Federation, Honored Master of sports, World and European champion Sergey Anatolievich Tsvir; director of the College of physical education and sports "Sparta", Honored Master of sports, World and European champion, Olympic medalist (2000) Alexey Yurevich Glushkov; director of the Moscow Secondary special school of Olympic reserve #1, Honored Master of sports, Honored coach of Russia, multiple European and World champion, Olympic champion (2000) David Vladimirovich Musuľbes.

Athletes were met with welcoming speech and parting words. The event continued with qualifying performances. Finals of the competition are held daily. Awarding will take place at the end of each competition day.
